About Chris

Chris has been a member of the professional staff at ECC since 2012. A PGA Member since 1992, he brings a wealth of overall experience, having worked at some of the finest private clubs in the country, including Medinah Country Club and Meadow Brook Club. Chris has dedicated his career to providing quality instruction and member services. He was Head Professional at the Hamlet Golf & Country Club for eight years before coming to ECC. Chris was appointed to the Met PGA Squire Cup Team on three occasions. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Met PGA from 2009-2011. He has two children and lives in Bayville.

About Jean

Jean Bartholomew started playing golf at age 12 and won numerous Met PGA Junior Titles. She went on to play collegiate golf at Duke and finished Runner-up as an individual in the NCAA Championship her senior year. After playing in Asia for a few years, she qualified for the LPGA Tour where she played for 15 years. Her best-ever finish was a 2nd place in 2000 at the Betsy King Classic. In 1999, Jean led the LPGA Tour in Driving distance! Her career earnings total just under one million dollars. Jean was recognized by Newsday as one of the top 50 high school athletes ever to come from Long Island! She currently plays on the Legends Tour (it’s the Senior Tour for the LPGA). Jean has won the Met PGA Women’s Open on three occasions; 2009, 2018, 2020! She comes to ECC with a wealth of teaching experience and teaches at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens in the winter!

About Bradford

Bradford is starting his 7th year at Engineers Country Club as Assistant Superintendent and is currently Interim Superintendent until the arrival of Shane Lohman in early May. He grew up in Altamont, NY, and went to college at SUNY Cobleskill for Turfgrass Management. He interned at Eastward Ho! Country Club for two summers, and at The Los Angeles Country Club for one summer while in college. Since finishing college, he worked full-time at Shelter Harbor Golf Club in Rhode Island, Piping Rock Club in Locust Valley, and the International Golf and Resort in Massachusetts. He has represented Engineers while volunteering for the 2017 Northern Trust at Glen Oaks Club, and the 2021 Senior PGA Championship and 2022 PGA Championship both at Southern Hills in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In his free time, he enjoys staying active with his friends and playing with his dog Theo.
