Shine Day: Grateful Garment Giving Tuesday Donation Drive

Join the Community Impact Council for our final Shine Day of 2024...on giving Tuesday! December 3rd | 5:30pm-7pm Bring an item to donate to the Grateful Garment Project and enjoy lite bites and wine in the lounge. The Grateful Garment Project’s (TGGP) mission is to ensure that every victim of a sexual crime who crosses the threshold of a Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) facility or who seeks medical attention and/or law enforcement involvement is provided with whatever new clothing, toiletries, snacks, and other miscellaneous items that they may require. We have further expanded our mission and vision to encompass all victims of sexual violence. This includes, but is not limited to Commercially Sexually Exploited Children (CSEC) and victims of Human Sexual Trafficking (HST). Our scope is wide but our purpose is narrow: The Vision of TGGP is that no victim of sexual violence in our communities should ever experience further suffering due to a lack of clothing to wear home after he or she receives services from a Sexual Violence Service Provider. Requested donated items: TGGP clothing inventory includes: From Child 4T up to 4/5X in Women, Men, and Unisex. Due to California Health Code Regulations, all clothing & resources must be NEW, please. 1. Gift cards $10 each: (Taco Bell, Burger King, Target, CVS, Walmart, Starbucks, Subway, Jamba Juice, Safeway, etc.) 2. Amazon Gift Cards ($25-$250+) to purchase resources 3. Sweatshirts (all sizes & genders) 4. Sweatpants (all sizes & genders) 5. Sports Bras (all sizes) 6. Underwear (all sizes & genders) 7. Transportation gift cards/passes: (Uber, Lift, or other ride-share programs, access to public transport - i.e., Monthly passes, Day Passes, Single Ride, 10-Ride Passes, multiple Clipper Cards) 8. New backpacks and/or duffle bags 9. Adult Coloring/Puzzle Books/Journals: (Crossword, Word Search, Sudoku, etc.) 10. Bath Towels/hand towels/wash cloths: (Sets are a +) 11. Plush Toys - 11" max.: (Small 'beanie babies') 12. Gift cards ($15 - $50+): (movie passes, fun activities) 13. Gift cards ($50 - $150+): "Dress for Dignity" program cards (JC Penney, Kohl's, Target, Macy's, Torrid, etc.) 14. Small Flashlights w/batteries 15. Flip Flops or House Slippers (all sizes & genders) 16. Deodorant, Feminine Products (individually wrapped) 17. Toothbrushes/Toothpaste (Adult/Child travel-sized) 18. Non-perishable snack items: (Protein/Granola Bars, etc.) 19. Individually packaged beverages: (Instant Coffee, Tea, Hot Cocoa, etc.) 20.
