The Tournament Course at The Woodlands Country Club
Championship Golf in The Woodlands
Designer: Bruce Devlin & Robert von Hagge
The Tournament Course at The Woodlands Country Club offers Members a true championship-level test of golf. A familiar location for many, the Tournament (formerly TPC at The Woodlands) hosts the annual PGA Tour Champions Insperity Invitational as of 2008; before that, it served as the long-time home of the Shell Houston Open.
Winding through the village of Grogan’s Mill, the Tournament features breathtaking lake views, forced water carries, natural tree lines, and pristine Bermuda fairways. It’s widely regarded as one of the finest courses both in the Houston area and in Texas more broadly.

Course Highlights
Natural wooden stadium bleachers frame the 18th green, one of the first stadium-build concepts for the PGA Tour. Here, years of electrifying PGA moments come to life each time you swing. Past winners on the Tournament Course include Payne Stewart, Vijay Singh, and Hal Sutton.
Course Highlights
Only the most precise approach shots find the island green on the Tournament’s storied 13th hole. A reachable par 5 downwind, the 13th green is one of the original island greens in golf.
Course Highlights
Water guards the closing holes off the tee and around the green on 17 and 18. More aggressive approach shots reward players with short putts, while a mis-hit could leave you in the hazard. Play it safe or go for birdie as you close out your round at the Tournament.
