About Allen

Allen Fredrickson is originally from Oregon and moved to Atlanta, Georgia where we attended high school and college. He moved to Las Vegas in 1996 and has experience in managing a variety of restaurants throughout the Las Vegas Valley. Including Vegas strip favorites like Pink Taco at Hard Rock and Lavo at The Palazzo.Allen joined Canyon Gate in 2009 as the Food and Beverage Director. In 2012, Allen left Canyon Gate to become Anthem Country Club LV’s Food and Beverage Director. He returned to Canyon Gate in 2015.  In December 2016, Allen became the Club's General Manager.He enjoys golfing, football, food & wine, and spending time with his wife and two sons. 

About Josh

“Josh Targe "JT" was born and raised on Long Island, New York. JT attended the University of Massachusetts, Amherst where he received a degree in Sports Managment. JT has 10+ years of hospitality/membership sales experience prior to joining Canyon Gate Country Club. Josh started his career in sales with the New York Yankees selling and servicing season ticket members. in 2014, JT followed his girlfriend (now wife) to the west coast. After a few years spent in Phoenix and San Diego, JT arrived in Las Vegas in 2018 and was responsible for selling seat licenses for the brand-new Allegiant Stadium and Las Vegas Raiders. 18 months later when the stadium was nearly sold out, JT received a unique opportunity with Bill Foley's 'Foley Entertainment Group' where he was responsible for all membership sales and service for Montana's #1 rated golf club, Rock Creek Cattle Company, in addition to managing membership and hospitality sales for the Vegas Golden Knights. Most recently, JT secured his license and became a REALTOR® with Coldwell Banker Premier, helping folks buy/sell homes in Las Vegas. JT is joined in Las Vegas by his lovely wife, D, and their two pups, Oakley & Kobe. JT is an avid sports fan who loves to golf and when he's not at the club you can find him traveling, exploring new restaurants, bars and enjoying all that Vegas has to offer. “

About Hannah

Hannah is from the small town of Brookings, South Dakota, where she grew up and later graduated from South Dakota State University. Her degree is in Hospitality Management with minors in Event & Facilities Administration and Management. The summer after graduating from SDSU, Hannah moved to Phoenix, AZ to complete an internship at Phoenix Country Club; this is where she fell in love with the Club industry! Following her time at Phoenix Country Club, Hannah also had the pleasure of working at Desert Mountain Club (where she met her husband), and later, Blackstone Country Club. Hannah’s husband was relocated to Las Vegas for his career, which is what brought Hannah to Canyon Gate Country Club. In her free time, Hannah enjoys traveling, hiking, kayaking, shopping, and spending time with her husband, puppy, and family & friends.

About Celeste

As the office manager, Celeste is primarily responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate completion of club administrative processes such as: accounts payable, accounts receivable, human resources and payroll.Celeste is married with two children. She was born and raised in Santa Barbara, California and moved to Las Vegas in 2006.

About Derick

Derick is a true hospitality professional through and through. He’s always trying to make the world a better place one service at a time. With over twenty years of experience in managing and directing some of the world's most acclaimed resorts, restaurants, and country clubs, Derick has called Las Vegas home since 1990. When not taking care of members and guests, Derick is an avid outdoorsman, golfer, and music enthusiast. He is constantly trying to create the perfect bite and pairing combination. He holds certifications with the court of Master Sommeliers, Cicerone, and other hospitality organizations. Derick is excited to provide and bring caring hospitality to the team, members, and guests of Canyon Gate Country Club.

About Tracy

Tracy was born and raised in northwest Houston, Texas. She attended Texas A&M University, and upon graduation in 2012, moved to Las Vegas to work in the event industry for Caesars Entertainment. It was in Las Vegas that she met her husband, who is enlisted in the United States Air Force. His service has taken them all around the world and with frequent moves, Tracy was able to hold a wide variety of event-related positions. Ultimately, the USAF brought them back to "their town" of Las Vegas where her experience in weddings and golf tournaments grew exponentially. When she is not at work, she is spending time with her husband and three daughters, either being homebodies, enjoying the outdoors, or eating Mexican food.

About Sierra

Sierra was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Her favorite thing growing up was going to Disneyland and the beach with her parents. She moved to Las Vegas in 2018 to attend The University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management. Before completing her bachelor’s degree, she previously worked with a wedding company for three years. Her favorite thing about wedding day is seeing all the dedication and detail come to life, aside from seeing the love from the bride and groom. She looks forward to applying her degree and recent experiences at Canyon Gate.

About Jeff

Jeff Lezon is a Certified Golf Course Superintendent originally from Clarksville, Tennessee. He served in the U.S. Air Force as an Emergency Medical Technician and then as a Crew Chief on a KC-10 Refueling Aircraft. After his service, Jeff got an undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University in Agriculture. In 2015 he continued his education and earned his Master's degree in Turf Management from Pennsylvania State University. Jeff has constructed/grown four golf courses, two in the USA and two in South Korea. In his free time, Jeff enjoys spending time with his lovely wife, Jinny, golfing, hunting, camping, hiking, and biking.

About Brandon

Brandon Johnson was born and raised in Olympia, Washington. He grew up playing basketball and baseball, and it wasn’t until his dad took him to the driving range, the summer before high school, where he developed a passion for golf. By his Senior year, he was a top amateur in Washington and went on to play for Walla Walla Community College, which ranked as the best golf team for a Junior College in the Pacific Northwest.  Brandon moved to Las Vegas in 2006 to continue to work on his game and attend UNLV where he earned a degree in Professional Golf Management. During that time, he gained an interest in teaching, and became a PGA certified teaching professional who has worked at a few different courses across the Valley. Before landing this great teaching opportunity at Canyon Gate, Brandon spent 4 years as the Lead Instructor at Topgolf Las Vegas where he taught everything from individual lessons to large clinics and corporate outings. About Benny

Benny was born and raised in the city of Hong Kong, came to the U.S at the age of 15 where he picked up his passion for golf. Benny began his golf career as golf shop attendant with Troon Golf Management at the Westin Mission Hill Golf Resort & Spa located in Palm Spring California, then joined the Invited family a premier private facility established in 1956 and home of the Bob Hope Classic for 40 years at Indian Wells Country Club as assistant golf professional. Benny came to join us Canyon Gate family with highly focused on creating an exceptional golf experience that exceeds Member and Guest expectations by uniquely anticipating their needs and offering tremendous service. Benny is currently enrolled in the PGA Professional Golf Management Program as an Apprentice at UNLV.

About Christopher "CJ"

Christopher "CJ" Schmid is from Los Angeles, California and has been involved in golf his whole life. CJ was introduced to the game at the age of four and while he played multiple sports growing up, golf was always his passion as he played in junior events and team events all the way through high school. CJ spent some time working in sports journalism before working in golf full time, where he has been teaching for over six years in both California and Nevada at public clubs, private clubs, and with GOLFTEC. When he is not at the club, CJ is also a UNLV Professional Golf Management alumnus and active within the local golf community and coaches the Faith Lutheran Girls Golf team in the fall. With this background, CJ is versed in golf swing biomechanics, flight monitor data, club fitting, and golf instruction for all ages and skill levels to better help improve your game!

About Gordon

Gordon was raised in Kentucky. He studied voice at the University of Louisville and went on to sing with Kentucky Opera for 5 years and then retired from singing at a young age and became the Special Events Director of the Opera for 10 years.He then was one of the founders of Sports Blast International, a chain of Indoor Soccer Arenas with six arenas in five states that are still open today. He was the Chairman of Indoor Soccer in the United States.He moved to Las Vegas in 2004 and obtained a Real Estate License that he still holds today. He worked for Invited, Bear’s Best Las Vegas, as their Private Events Director from 2008-2016 where his accomplishments put him in  the Hall of Fame for Invited.  He retired as went back into Real Estate.In 2020 He became the Regional Tournament Sales Director for Canyon Gate and Bear’s Best selling golf outings and tournaments for both clubs.He has a son and two granddaughters that live in Las Vegas. He enjoys golf. Tennis, and bowling.

About Crombie

Crombie Hatfield was born in Zimbabwe and grew up in South Africa. After graduating high school he spent two years in the Army. At age 20, Crombie left for Europe where he spent almost two years teaching tennis in Austria.While playing tournaments in Europe, he was recruited by UNLV and received a full tennis scholarship. After college, he returned to South Africa where he successfully managed his own tennis school for over 10 years.Crombie returned to the United States and became the Head Tennis Pro at Red Rock Country Club and at The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe in San Diego. In 2012, Crombie accepted the Director of Tennis at Canyon Gate.Crombie, his wife Cally and their two daughters, Kate and Mia all play and enjoy tennis.

About Rick

Hi, I am Rick Piliwale-Wilson ready to help you enjoy the sport of tennis! As your Canyon Gate Tennis Professional, I come with a variety of professional teaching experiences as a coach and instructor. I am a 25-year USPTA certified professional who has taught everyone from beginners to Division 1 college. I was voted USPTA Pro of the Year for the Pacific Northwest. My professional highlights include Assistant Chaminade Women's Tennis coach, USTA Section Competitive Training Center coach, USTA Section Junior National Zonal coach, and Head Tennis coach for multiple schools where I sent many players to post-season play including State competition. I have had the privilege of sending more than 20 scholarship college tennis athletes. I have coached multiple USTA Adult and Junior teams that have represented their respective sections at Nationals. Tennis has been a passion of mine since one day a friend dared me to play at 14! As a player, I have competed at the Open division and was ranked as high as #3 in the 35's master Division in Hawaii. I have enjoyed more than 30 years of tennis teaching and coaching across the US including Washington, Hawaii, and other beautiful places. Overall, I enjoy making tennis both informative and fun! About Adrin

Adrin Himmelheber was born and raised in Las Vegas and was a top junior along with being a class 4A State Singles champion for The Meadows School. He played for UNLV and had a brief run on the pro tour after being sidelined with ACL knee surgery. Adrin has worked with club-level adults to national junior champions. He works part-time with tour players and has worked with Grand Slam champions and Olympic Golf medalists including Andre Agassi and Nicholas Massu. Adrin is a USTA certified high-performance coach and a USPTA Professional 1 which is the highest certification in the tennis coaching professional industry.

About Nick

Nick just recently moved to Las Vegas from Austin, TX. He is excited to continue teaching tennis here at Canyon Gate, he’s been teaching for over 30 years.

About Mercedes

Mercedes has always been involved in tennis. From the ages of 12 – 18, Mercedes was in the top 5 for juniors in Spain. She went on to play for UNLV from 2014- 2018 and won the Mountain West Conference Championship. After completing college, she was the assistant coach for women’s and men’s tennis at Shepherd University in Virginia. She will be continuing her career here at Canyon Gate becoming the Tennis Professional.

About Jeremy

A Native of Hawai'i, Chef's introduction to food was assisting all of his Ohana (Family) with gatherings through a melting pot of ethnic foods such as Polynesian, Hawaiian, Japanese, Chinese, Filipino, Korean & Portuguese. He was determined and motivated to elevate his knowledge in a larger arena. He made the move from Hawai'i to Las Vegas where he worked at Todd's Unique Dinning and a few casinos where he gained additional culinary skills with American, Italian and Latin cuisines. As Chef navigated through his career path, he was very interested in "Fine Dining". He packed up his knives, relocated to Southern California and accepted a Sous Chef position at Marché Moderne in Orange County, CA. His humble talents created his promotion to Chef de Cuisine at Marché Moderne where he worked under acclaimed French Chef/Owners Florent & Amelia Marneau for 12 years. He refined his craft and mastered the art of modern fine dining in rustic French and modern American cuisine.

About Adrian

Adrian was born in Long Beach, California and moved to Las Vegas at the age of five. He is the oldest sibling to two brothers and one sister. He says he kind of fell into cooking because his mother worked a lot, and he had to step up to help take care of his younger siblings. Adrian went to college at Truckee Meadows in Reno after transferring from job corps on a Culinary Degree and CSN. He then moved back to Las Vegas to learn as much as possible while working for over 10 years on the Las Vegas Strip. He is looking forward to all he will learn while working with Chef Jeremy! Adrian's favorite food to cook is Hispanic food because of the seasonings, smell, simplicity, and the talent required. In his free time, Adrian enjoys spending time with his two children, a seven-year-old daughter, Azalea and a five-year-old son, Sincere. His goal is to improve himself daily because he hopes his children will grow to be as proud of him as he is of them.

About Drey

Drey was raised in Queens, NYC. He started out as a busboy in the restaurant industry at the age of 16 where he worked at Don Peppes (yes, the one from HBO's Entourage). He quickly moved through the ranks from Prep, Runner, Bar, Server, Expo, Maitre D, Manager, Sommelier, etc. He made his way out to Vegas and has been fortunate to work alongside Sommeliers at the Venetian, Mixologists at Southern Wine, and other industry professionals that have helped elevate his insight and understanding of the Service Industry. He has been working at Canyon Gate since 2018 and could not be more thrilled with the team and Members.

About Robert

Robert was born and raised in Bass Lake, CA. He moved from Bass Lake to Las Vegas over 6 years ago with his family. Robert has been in the Food and Beverage industry for over 20 years. He has spent most of that time managing banquets, along with multiple bars and restaurants. Robert started out his banquet career with the main global leader in hospitality and food & beverage management company, Delaware North Companies. Even though he has worked in bars and restaurants, his passion is in banquets. He loves to see an event come together from beginning to end. When Robert is not at work, he loves to be with his wife, two teenage boys, and his little girl. His favorite things to do are BBQ, watch football, and watch the Golden Knights

About Vince

Vince Brown was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa where he became a 6 Time Iowa Golden Gloves Boxing Champion.After, Vince fought in the 1984 and 1988 Western Olympic Trials Box Off Tournament and on the undercard of Oscar Dela Hoya along with Floyd Mayweather at Thomas & Mack Arena in Las Vegas Nevada in 1997. He decided to move to Las Vegas in 2001.Before moving to Vegas Vince was the General Manager at a Gold's Gym in Cedar Rapids Iowa for 7 years.Prior to becoming the Fitness Director at Canyon Gate Country Club, Vince worked as a personal trainer, boxing coach at City Athletic Club Las Vegas from 6/11 to present and Round 1 Boxing Gym here in Las Vegas from 4/04-6/11.In 2011 and 2012 Vince organized and staged two charity boxing events for the local Boys & Girls Club at the Tropicana Hotel Casino & Palms Hotel casino with an average attendance of 1,200 guest.What Vince does for enjoyment is putting together social entertainment events such as his neighborhood block party wi...
