"We Are" Birmingham!

Dear Prospective Member,

The path to Membership begins by understanding who “We Are”. Our membership began at the Relay House in 1962, moved to the Summit Club in 1989, and then was reinvented as the City Club of Birmingham in 2016. The one constant over the years is the sense of community and belonging that membership affords. I would like to extend a warm invitation on behalf of our members, Board of Directors, and staff to experience the private club lifestyle in downtown Birmingham. “We Are” entrepreneurs and innovators. Time spent at the Club reveals an environment rich in diversity, full of personal enrichment opportunities and buzzing with social and business interactions. This is where you develop lifelong friendships. The spirit of belonging is found in committees and clubs-within-the-club. Members have many opportunities to take part in a full schedule of events and activities. Membership extends around the globe with privileges at over two hundred private clubs in the United States and abroad. “We Are” food and wine lovers. The architecture and decor of the club’s Alloy and Element restaurants help tell the story of Birmingham’s origins as a steel city. Our culinary team, led by Executive Chef Gray Byrum, interprets southern culinary tradition using the finest and freshest ingredients. Members have the opportunity to taste this quality every day. The Escoffier Society and Vineyard Club are clubs-within-the-club that offer Members the opportunity to expand their knowledge and enjoyment of food and wine. “We Are” heroes and philanthropist. Our Members believe in being heroes to others, and serving our community. The Club’s event rooms are the perfect place to host fundraisers or organize community involvement. Your friends, family, and business associates will be treated to the City Club experience when you host an event in one of the club’s many private event rooms. Recently renovated, each room offers balcony access and stunning views of the city.

We invite you to join the tradition that is the City Club of Birmingham. Seek out a Club member to learn what brings value to a City Club membership. Explore the website and contact us for a personal tour. I look forward to meeting you and welcoming you and your family to the City Club of Birmingham. Together “We Are” Birmingham!

Warm Regards,
