About Jason
Most recently, Jason was the General Manager at Sparrows Point Country Club in Baltimore, Maryland. His private Club operations experience includes being the General Manager at White Manor Country Club in Philadelphia, PA, and Colonial Heritage Country Club in Williamsburg, VA.
Jason got his start in private clubs with Invited (formerly ClubCorp), where he worked at several Atlantic Region properties, including Food & Beverage Manager with Norbeck Country Club in Maryland, Fords Colony in Virginia, and Hartefeld in the Philadelphia area.
Jason has a passion for hospitality, and one of his top priorities is to build a service culture within the staff and cultivate a leadership team that will deliver memorable experiences for The Hamlet membership.
Jason and his fiancé, Heather, will move to the area this month and look forward to becoming a part of the Commack community. When not working, Jason and Heather enjoy spending time with their families, cooking, tasting fine wine, and cheering on the Virginia Tech Hokies and Philadelphia Eagles.

About Hillary
Hillary Epstein began her career with Invited at The Hamlet Golf and County Club the day it was purchased in June of 2011. At that time Hillary was brought in as the Private Event Director. After two successful years in events at The Hamlet the position of Membership Director opened up and Hillary stepped into her new role. "In events you build relationships with people and when their event ends you often do not see them again. As Membership Director the relationships built carry on...this is my favorite part of my new role. You join a Country Club to enrich your life, as Membership Director this is what I get to help my Members do, every day."

About Jim
Jim is a PGA Class “A” Member who brings over 25 years of experience in the golf industry to The Hamlet. Born and raised in Syosset NY, Jim went to Long Island Lutheran HS and later graduated college from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas. There, Jim met his wife Amy and today have three children. James, Patrick and Natalie.Jim got his start in the golf industry at The Town of Oyster Bay Golf Club in 1990 and then went back to Kansas where he worked as an assistant at Mission Hills and Blue Hills Country Clubs. In 2000, Jim began a seven-year career as the Head Golf Professional at Oakwood CC, a private club located in Kansas City, MO. In 2007, Jim moved back to the Island where he took on the position as the Head Golf Professional at Muttontown CC until 2009. Fadi Yako
Food and Beverage Director

About Fadi
Born and raised in France, Fadi got his taste for food and wine from his home culture. For the past seven years, Fadi worked at The Carltun in Eisenhower Park first as a sommelier and then as manager of the restaurant, private cigar club and as the director of wine. He has had great experience with hiring, training and the opportunity to build a consistent service culture with his teams. Fadi prides himself on good organization and communication. He is a graduate of the New York Institute of Technology and has earned sommelier certifications. We look forward to welcoming Fadi to The Hamlet and for him to bring his vast Food and Beverage knowledge and experience to our Club.

Chef Matthew’s extensive culinary background also includes:
• Lessing’s Hospitality, where he became a multi-unit executive chef.
• Temple Chaverim in Plainview, New York
• 74 Wythe in Brooklyn, New York
• Garden City Hotel, working for Belgium Master Chef Steven De Bruyn
• City Fish Market in Boca Raton and Ft. Lauderdale areas
• Ideal Cheese and Wine in New York
• Union Square Hospitality Group (USHG), where Chef Matthew was recognized for his
work at Blue Smoke and asked to be a part of the team at USHG’s 2 Michelin star
restaurant, The Modern.
• The Museum of Modern Art, where he learned and worked with chefs Abram Bissel,
Tom Allen, and Jiho Kim.
Chef Matthew and his wife Jillian expect their first child in the fall of 2022. Additionally, Chef Matthew is
a competitive amateur golfer placed in numerous LIGA, MGA, and NYSGA events and maintains a scratch
handicap. He also enjoys gardening, playing guitar or piano, and spending time with his Yorkie Schnauzer
Jack. He is excited to bring his cooking and personality to The Hamlet and is looking forward to seeing all at the club.
Steven King
Golf Course Superintendent

About Steven
Steven is a Long Island native with 23 years of experience on Long Island and he has a vast knowledge of the islands golf courses. Steve’s most recent role prior to joining us at The Hamlet was as Regional Superintendent for Parkland Management Group where he oversaw the conditions of nine Long Island properties. Steve is married to his wife Dana of fourteen years and has two children, Zachary (11) and Dylan (5).
