About Gabe

Currently live in Eau Claire, Michigan, born in Battle Creek, Michigan; I was introduced to golf by my Father around the age of 12. I have been a PGA Member since 2007 and was the 2017 Midwest Section Assistant PGA Professional of the Year, and in 2023 completed my Master Professional status. My playing career includes four years of High School Golf at Battle Creek Central High School, walking on at Kellogg Community College, and playing in many sections, local and state events. Each year I try to qualify for the PGA Championship and the US. Open. My passion for the game includes tournament operations and Member Services. Each season, I aim to spend as much time as possible out of the office and with the membership. When not at the Club I enjoy spending time with my beautiful wife Cindy and my three kids, Tyler, 15, Zachary, 15, and Amanda, 12.

About Jon

Jonathon Oppenheim comes to the Club with a wealth of knowledge in Golf Course Maintenance. Jon has over 14 years’ worth of experience at several golf courses throughout the Michiana region: Morris Park Country Club, South Bend Country Club, and most recently Juday Creek as their Golf Course Superintendent. Jon was born and raised in the South Bend area. He attended Saint Joseph’s High School and Holy Cross College. He has a degree in Golf Course Turf Management from Rutgers University. When Jon is not at Knollwood, he loves spending quality time with his wife Samantha, daughter Kinsley, and his dogs Bentley and Lewis. He enjoys watching Notre Dame football, Chicago Bears, and anything golf related. Jon has a passion for the game of golf, and this is what ultimately brought him to where he is today.

About Wayne

Wayne has been involved in Golf Course Operations for over 40 years having worked at four different courses during that time. He began at Wyndwicke Country Club in St Joseph, MI while in high school and eventually become the superintendent there. From there he moved to Indian Lake Golf Hills in Eau Claire MI where he was the superintendent and was instrumental in building the final nine holes of this course making it a 27- hole course. From there he went to The Oaks in St Joseph MI as a superintendent making that course one of the premier golf courses in the area. Following that he came to Knollwood Country Club and has been the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent for 18 years working side by side of the Superintendent taking care of day to day operations to maintain this course.Wayne has been married to his wife Jan for 33 years and resides in Benton Harbor MI with her and their dog Rocky, his best pal. They have one daughter, Anita and a son-in law Tanner who live in Dowagiac.
