The Club is widely recognized as having the most enjoyable home golf course to play in the area. While enjoyable for golfers of all skill levels, The Haven is a true championship golf course and serves as annual host of the New England PGA Pro-Pro Championship. The golf course is undergoing a master plan renovation under the direction of noted Golf Course Architect Ron Forse of Forse Design whose prolific work and impact on the game of golf includes several private courses in Massachusetts and other eastern states.

This short opening hole puts priority on hitting the fairway. Long hitters can tempt fate with a driver over the right corner trees and be rewarded with a flip wedge, but veer off course with your tee shot and tall pine trees will make you feel like your in jail. The small green has deceptive sloping making it tough to sink your birdie attempt.

Ron Forse's redesign begins to show up on this tee, but stay in the left side of the fairway to give you the best visual to the green. Only the longest hitters will be thinking about going for the green in two, the average player will have to negotiate three bunkers and a tree for their layup to land in the fairway. Take enough club on your approach shot if the pin is on the right as your shot will have to land on a lightly elevated green and anything short will bound backward into a bunker.

This mid-length par three has a deceptive green that slopes right to left. Any shot lost to the right will require a lot of skill in order to walk away with a par. If you can find the left side of the green off the tee you will be left with an uphill putt to any hole location that is center or right.

This is the longest par 4 on the front nine requiring two of your best shots to reach this hole in regulation. Your tee shot not only must be long but it also needs to be straight as Church street and a creek are on the right and trees border the left. 200 yards from the tee the creek that borders the right goes underground only to reappear on the left side of the cart path. Your second shot plays even longer since you will be walking all uphill to the green. Stay below the hole, this is one of many greens that slope severely back to front.

This hole slightly dog legs to the right and presents another quality par 4. Your tee shot has adequate area to land, but you will need to navigate a "chute" at the start. The green slopes severely from left to right allowing shots run up to reach even a back right hole location.

You won't be able to see the green from the tee, but a nice drive to the center of the fairway will offer a beautiful-looking approach to this par 4. The big hitters may be tempted to cut the corner, but make sure you hit it long enough. The green is the smallest on the course and offers an excellent chance at making a putt if you can read the green correctly.

This tough par 4 combines length, elevation and arguably the toughest green making a 2 putt difficult. Large pines frame a dog leg right even though the fairway slopes left. Once you navigate your tee shot make sure you take enough club and make sure you know how to use the slopes by the green to your advantage. The two-tiered green makes putting tricky making a score of 5 a good one.

There is a chance for birdie on this par 4, but your drive needs to find the fairway. Because of the severe slope in the fairway from left to right any drive landing in the right middle of the fairway is sure to end up in the rough. Hit your approach shot in the middle of the green, any shots that don't find the green will be tough up and downs.

The longest par 5 on the course gives adequate room off the tee, but water, sand and woods makes layup accuracy a necessity. Your mid-short iron approach shot is guarded by bunkers and a turtle-back green complex. Par is a great score on this hole.

This is the shortest par 5 on the course, but it has plenty of room to give your trouble. It's narrow tee shot puts a premium on hitting it straight. Long hitters will have to decide whether to go for the green in two or lay up. The difficult and elevated green complex is visually intimidating, so the decision may not be easy. Once on the green two putts are hard to come by, so work hard on your speed control.

By far the toughest par 4 on the course. Enjoy the view from the tee, you're required to have a long and straight drive in order to get home in regulation. Although the tee shot is down hill, the approach shot is all uphill. Yardage control is paramount because of the two-tiered green. Making a big score on this hole is easy to do.

This par 4 plays significantly shorter than the scorecard reads due to a fairway that slopes all down hill. Stay in the right center of the fairway in order to have a clear shot at the green. A mid to short iron is all you will need to approach the green, judging the elevation makes it more difficult than it sounds. The green has some slope making birdie and bogey a possibility for anyone hitting the green in regulation.

This par 3 is short on the scorecard, but the elevated green makes it play much longer. Take enough club to avoid the big bunker that protects the right side of the green, but don't bail out short left as the ball may come back to your feet. The green is tiered but narrow so any ball finding the putting surface may not be far from the hole.

This is a great closing hole that offers a chance to win or lose the match. Your tee shot needs to be straight, but the long hitters will have the fairway pinched by two bunkers. The elevated green makes club selection difficult. If you can avoid the numerous bunkers and find the green, reading your putt will be challenging. The opportunity to win the match is there, you just need to make it happen!
