Invited Champions On Course Foundation in Supporting Injured Veterans

 

After Invited acquired Toll Golf in 2018 and 2019, Maurice Darbyshire, Sr. VP of Operations, continued his commitment to injured veterans through a strategic philanthropy partnership with the On Course Foundation. This includes a total of 18 key Invited properties now aligned in support of this incredible organization.

 

The various club locations donted golf outings to an online auction, which ultimately raised nearly $10,000 for the On Course Foundation. The money raised will have a big impact on the injured veterans in the program by giving them the chance to play golf, as well as providing employment opportunities in the golf industry.

 

In these times of social distancing and isolation, this will come as a much-needed boost for many of the injured veterans suffering from hidden wounds such as PTSD. As a direct result, 45 veterans will participate in the On Course Foundation's golf skills and employment program and from these, we hope many individuals gain employment in the golf industry as a result.

This is such a small way that our company can support another organization whose vision is so impactful to the men and women who have served our country. In 2018, we were fortunate to meet Jake Keeslar [pictured above], a double-leg amputee who is one of the many injured veterans supported by the On Course Foundation. Jake spoke passionately to our team about the opportunities afforded to him and the many veterans who are now employed in the golf industry thanks to the On Course Foundation. We hope to find more ways in the future to help support these servicemen and veterans through donations, work opportunities or tournaments."
