Set among an immense community of old weeping willows and featuring an abundance of greenery and scenic views, the golf course at Ravinia Green is one of the most enthralling and picturesque courses in the Chicago area. The course offers a unique blend of challenge and opportunity for all levels of players. Featuring 100 bunkers with water coming into play on more than 10 holes, the Larry Packard-designed 18-hole course is 6,866 yards with a championship slope of 134. It features two putting greens, a vast driving range along with a chipping range, and a short driving range.
Our comprehensive golf program offers lessons for golfers of all levels, as well as a junior program designed to provide quality instruction in a fun environment. A robust calendar of tournaments and events will provide your whole family with a memorable golf experience.
Crush It! Juniors Program
Based on principles of the American Development Model (ADM), Ravinia Green Country Club’s Crush It! Juniors Program is a game-changing golf development program designed to help your junior golfers develop a deep love for the game and the abilities needed to perform on the course.
Whether new or familiar with the game and for fun or friendly competition, the program provides kids with the tools to engage proactively in life and learn valuable lessons they can use in all areas of their lives, while at the same time enabling them to engage in developmentally appropriate experiences and learning opportunities that connect child and family at every step through a progression pathway.

Whether you’re picking up a club for the first time or if you’re coming back to the sport after some time off, Ravinia Green Country Club’s Game On! Program provides the ideal way for golfers to experience learning the game in an environment and structure that will enable them to build the skills, knowledge and social connections to actively play the game and maximize your Ravinia Green Country Club membership.
Where Game On! differs from other traditional programs is that it does not measure success based on completing a set number of classes. Instead, success is defined when you have achieved the criteria set out within a 3-Level Progression Pathway that ensures you have harnessed the knowledge, experiences and appropriate level of skill to play the golf course. The length of time spent on the program varies between golfer but it’s why golf is a journey, not a marathon.

Caddie Program
Caddies in golf are believed to have started in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1817 and since then have been synonymous with the game. Not only can a caddie make a walking round of golf easier on the player physically, but they also use their expertise to help any golfer with strategic decisions to help lower their score.
At Ravinia Green Country Club, we are proud to have a wonderful caddie program that supports the Evans Scholarship Foundation. Each year, caddies from our club are eligible to apply for this scholarship which provides full housing and college tuition for caddies with limited financial means. We had caddies win scholarships in both 2018 and 2019.

About Phil
I grew up in the Bay Area of California and later, Albuquerque, New Mexico playing primarily soccer and baseball. I began to learn about golf during my freshman year of college and became consumed, as I am sure you may be as well, chasing that white ball down the rough and enjoying the camaraderie of others endeavoring the same pursuit to score better than the day before. I took my first Player’s Ability Test one and a half years later and missed by one stroke. Later, I passed. Golf career-wise, I began working in an off-course retail shop which expanded over time. During the dot-com boom, I ran the daily operations for a website in which we sold golf equipment over the internet. Two and a half years later the company sold and I moved to Scottsdale, Arizona. I tried out a couple other industries, but golf remained a passion.
